She Never Lets Me Down
Springtime in Paris
Welcome to Really Abstract where I post abstract street photography recorded while wandering aimlessly but aimfully as a full-time flaneur.
I was blessed to born in Canada, mon lieu de naissance, but I was doubly blessed to be reborn in Paris, mon lieu de renaissance. Without having lived in Paris, I wouldn’t be in France today. Without having been deprived of Paris after moving to Toronto, there would be no Lyrical Realism today.
Paris captured my heart from the start and she has captivated me ever since. But she’s a complicated mistress. As difficult to live with as to live without. Maybe it’s me or perhaps it’s her, but these days, I find she’s better taken in small doses. Be that as it may, it sure is nice to be living close enough get me a dose more often.
The pictures below were taken in March 2025, during six joyful days of flânerie sandwiched between between a trip to Tours to buy an apartment and the return to Toronto to wrap up our life in Canada.

If you like these photos from Springtime in Paris, you’re going to love the pictures from Summertime in Tours.
